For our purposes here at PEUMC, “shut-in“ refers to those who are permanently limited in their mobility, including those in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or those who have trouble leaving their homes. “Homebound“ refers to those who are temporarily limited in their mobility and would include those in hospitals even for extended stays, short-term care facilities, and any person at home recovering from surgery or an illness.
These categories are not as important as the care PEUMC wishes to offers to all who are struggling with their mobility for whatever reason.
HomeTouch is a Christian-based outreach ministry to our shut-in and homebound members and friends of the church. Once a month, those on our mailing list will receive a double-side page for each week of the month.
Side 1 is a devotional page based on the Revised Common Lectionary.
Side 2 is a corresponding activity page.
This ministry is free to anyone in the Wis. Rapids micropolitan area who wishes to be on the mailing list. Please contact the church office to be added.
